Classroom Setup - Week One

The only thing I accomplished today was hanging up my alphabet line.  It took me an hour or two...  You see, I think I may be a little OCD mixed with ADHD.  Actually, I really do think I have ADHD (at least my mom and doctor thought so when I was little). ;)

I couldn't just throw my alphabet line up there!  First, I had to put masking tape on top of my board to prevent my alphabet line from falling and getting stuck behind the board.  Then, I measured and cut the sections, so the letters would be spaced evenly. After that, I had to use a tape measure and level to make sure my alphabet was nice and centered.  Mix that in with many small breaks for chatting, eating, resting, and exploring, and it was a long process. :)  I still need to actually staple it to the wall, because it's pinned up with thumbtacks right now.

Does anyone else use this many tools to hang posters on the wall?  I can't take credit for the pink level and tape measure.  (I took my less pretty red tools home for the summer, thinking I would need them for Pinterest crafts).  The pink tools are Jenn's.   She has to have posters perfectly centered on her walls too.  Last summer, we both happened to be hanging something in the hallway with our tiny little levels, and it was at that point,  I knew we were going to be good friends.

Hopefully, I'll get more done tomorrow!  Here's some more pictures of my bare classroom.

I have cute stuff hiding behind my cabinets. :)
